Hello, 

DANCE

I spent the majority of my young life training with Towson University's pre-collegiate dance ensemble in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2017 I relocated to Columbus, Ohio to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance with a focus in creative technology, choreography, and performance from the Ohio State University. In May of 2020 I graduated a year early from Ohio State, Magna Cum Laude, and went on to dance for SALT2 Contemporary Dance Company based in Salt Lake City, Utah. I created four of my own choreographic works and turned them into dance films during my time in Salt Lake as well as taught contemporary, ballet, and yoga practices for RDT's dance center. I currently dance for BlueShift Dance Company in Baltimore, Maryland and guest teach in the surrounding area. I plan to continue my performance career for a lifetime. 

 

FILM

During my time at Ohio State I studied extensively under renowned dance-film artist, Mitchell Rose, and later went on to co-curate the international dance film festival "DANCE@30FPS" in February of 2020 with Mr. Rose. It was OSU that inspired and guided my love for dance film.

After graduating and moving to Salt Lake City I created my dance film company, WOODLAND, and commissioned films for local dance companies throughout SLC. 

 

In May 2021 I moved to Massachusetts to work as a full-time videographer and editor for Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival during their 2021 festival season. During my time at the Pillow I was part of the small team that created the Pillow's first digital festival to premiere throughout the summer; Highlighting each company that performed by filming and editing full length films of their work, interviews with artists, pre and post show talks with dance scholars, PillowTalks, and school livestream events. I was contracted to return to the Pillow in September 2021 as a digital media specialist to work on preserving the Pillow’s archives for a month-long contract which ended in October 2021.

 

Since the Pillow I have worked and traveled as a freelance Videographer, Livestream Technician Assistant, and Production Assistant for Nel Shelby Productions based in New York City, NY and to date I am working for Turn It Up Dance Challenge as their traveling dance videographer and livestream technician, based in Massachusetts. I am actively seeking freelance work within the North East region and hope to always push the boundaries of how dance and film can intersect within the dance community.
